Scottish League Cup
The Regional Performance Centre in Dundee hosts the traditional season opening competition, the Scottish League Cup.
Teams from across Scotland take part and the format of the competition prior to the 2022/2023 involved two groups competing in a round robin format with the winners of each group playing the runners up of the other group in the semi-finals to decide who contests the final.
However, since the 2022/2023 season the teams play each other in the group stage round-robin in September with the top three teams qualifying for the League Cup Finals in April/May with the bottom two teams playing for the League Cup Plate trophy.
