About
Ayrshire Tigers is a Powerchair Football Club based in Ayr, Scotland. The club was established in January 2015 through a partnership between South Ayrshire Council and South Ayrshire Access to Sport in order to provide Powerchair Football opportunities to wheelchair users in Ayrshire.
The Club became an independent constituted organisation in August 2018 and in December 2018, Ayrshire Tigers Powerchair Football Club was granted charitable status as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) and is now a registered charity in Scotland.
The club currently runs a training sessions on a Tuesday evening at the Citadel Leisure Centre in Ayr and our teams take part in National League and Cup competitions run by the Scottish Powerchair Football Association which are generally held at The Peak Sports Centre in Stirling. The club is open to everyone and we would actively encourage powerchair users of all ages to come and try the sport for themselves. As a club we cater for all abilities, from beginners to those who have some experience of playing Powerchair Football. We welcome new members, so if you are a powerchair user and fancy coming along to see what we are all about, please get in touch. We have equipment available to allow those new to the sport to try it out.
The club is a member of the Scottish Powerchair Football League and is affiliated to the Scottish Powerchair Football Association. The club currently has a team competing in the Scottish Premiership.
