2016/2017 Scottish League Cup
The League Cup 2016/17 was held on the 4th September as part of the DCDS Discovery Games at DISC, Dundee. Five teams from across Scotland accepted the invitation to take part in this traditional season opener.
The event was the first to be managed by the SPFA, with Respect and Sportsmanship being the first action point of the new season.
It was a privalege to watch all teams on show display the true meaning of team sport, determined but with the utmost respect for the officials and each other.
The standard of powerchair football on display was the best we have seen in our short history, and in truth there was not much between all the teams taking part, however the auld rivals of Clyde Caledonia and Tayside Dynamo contested the final, with the Dynamos edging it on penalties (again!). Well done to all for making this event a huge success.
