2017/2018 Scottish League Cup

The traditonal season opener, The League Cup competition took place at the Dundee International Sports Centre (DISC) on the 3rd September 2017 as part of the Discovery Games.

Home advantage for the current Cup holders, Tayside Dynamos who got off to a shaky start after the summer break. Things settled down as the games progressed and after a nail biting penalty shoot out with South Ayrshire Tigers in the semi-finals the Dynamos progressed into the final and where they faced Clyde Alba yet again.

Both teams battled hard but neither could successfully break the others defences and the game ended in a 0-0 draw. Penalty shoot out time once again with the Dynamos emerging victorious 4-2 on Penalties.
