How To Join Us
Our Club is volunteer led and we are always looking for new people to join and assist. Volunteering brings many benefits to our players and also to our volunteers by way of a sense of achievement, developing skills and increasing abilities and confidence as well as making a valuable contribution to the Club. We also employ coaches to run our training sessions.

2. Interview
Come for your interview, bringing with you:
Please also bring any Disclosure Scotland of Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) certificates you may have.
3. References
You must provide the name, address and telephone number of two persons who have agreed to provide a reference for you. This cannot be a family member or existing club official.
4. PVG Disclosure Check
In February 2011, the Scottish Government introduced a new membership scheme to replace and improve upon the current disclosure arrangements for people who work with vulnerable groups. Any individual who is not barred may apply to become a member of the PVG Scheme. The PVG Scheme is administered by Disclosure Scotland and allows organisational employers and personal employers to satisfy themselves that an individual to whom they are offering regulated work is not barred from doing that type of regulated work. PVG Scheme members are continuously monitored for new vetting information. Any information which comes to light which may indicate that they are unsuitable to do regulated work will lead to a consideration for listing managed and delivered by Disclosure Scotland.
Once the interview has taken place the club will undertake a PVG check on behalf of the volunteer via Volunteer Scotland Disclosure Services (VSDS). VSDS are funded by the Scottish Government to support the voluntary sector with processing disclosure checks. The Club is a Qualifying Voluntary Organisation (QVO), which qualifies us for a free certificate as it is a Charity and all volunteers/employees do regulated work with children and/or vulnerable adults.
The PVG certificate is posted direct to the applicant — a copy must be provided to the club.
Ayrshire Tigers policy on recruitment of employees/volunteers ensures the secure handing, use, storage, and retention of Disclosure information.
5. Confirmation of PVG Membership
The club will send the applicant a letter via email confirming the successful completion of the application process.
