Match Day 1 - October 29, 2023
The Tigers quest for back to back titles began on Sunday, October 29th with matches against FC United Warriors who were making their league debut and Dundee United Dynamos. Dundee United are expected to be their nearest challengers this season.
The Tigers played Warriors first and won the game 4-0 with vice-captain Torrance scoring three goals and new captain Niven providing three assists. The Warriors were hampered by availability issues and had a bit of bad luck in having only three players able to partake in part of the match due to a technical fault.
Next up were Dundee Utd Dynamos and in a pretty even contest the Tigers narrowly lost 1-0. However, the team were not too despondent as they knew they were still getting used to playing without team captain and talisman James Doull who sadly passed away in May. Hopefully, the Tigers will do James proud this season.
Following the results of the first weekend's action, the Tigers sit in second position in the four team league.
The Tigers finished the day with a Scottish Cup match against Strathclyde Caledonia. The Tigers comfortably won the game 9-0 with new player Rhys McNiven scoring a hat trick in only his third game for the club. Well done Rhys! Cameron, Stuart, and Idrees also scored two goals each.
