2023/2024 League Cup Group Stages
Ayrshire Tigers had their first matches since the passing of former team captain and inspiration James Doull #17
The League Cup featured 5 teams who all played each other in a group stage format to see whowould qualify for the League Cup format and who would be playing for the League Cup plate. Ayrshire Tigers lost 3 maches but managed to draw their last game against Lothian Wolves.
Going forward to the League Cup finals are
Tayside Dynamos Powerchair Football Club - SCIO
Strathclyde Powerchair Football Club
Lothian Wolves Powerchair Football Club
Going into the League Cup Plate finals are
Dundee United Para-Sports Club
Ayrshire Tigers Powerchair Football Club
Both finals will be played towards the end of the 2023/24 playing season.
Great effort from the 4 Tigers' players (and their batteries) to complete 4 matches on the bounce. It was good to see the progress the team made in one busy day.
Our best result and performance was a solid team display to earn a goalless draw against Lothian Wolves. Niven led the team for the first time as new club captain with Torrance as team vice-captain. All players including Robb and Ahmed seized the opportunity to play in different positions and adopt a new game plan as the team looks to rebuild for the season.
Next up: Scottish Powerchair Football Association League Match Day 1 of 5 kicks off on 29th October in Stirling.
