Season 2022/2023 Scottish Championship Match Reports
Match Day 1 30th October 2022
Ayrshire Tigers Powerchair Football Club played our first round of Scottish Championship league matches on Sunday (30th October) at The Peak, in Stirling. The Tigers were awarded the points against Strathclyde Caledonia as they forfeited the game due to not having enough players. However, Caledonia still wanted to play so the Tigers agreed to play them in a friendly with two of Strathclyde's Premiership players filling in. Tigers won the friendly 5-3.
The Tigers played their final match of the day against Dundee United knowing that a win would see them finish League Day 1 top of the championship. The Tigers continued their fine form from the previous match and won the game comfortably 4-0 with Doull and Niven scoring 2 goals each.
Match Day 3 26th February 2023
Ayrshire Tigers Powerchair Football Club played our final round of Scottish Championship league matches on Sunday (26th February) at The Peak, in Stirling. The Tigers were playing fixtures five and six against Dundee United and Strathclyde. The Tigers had to play their 2 matches with only 3 players because a few players had transport problems.
Despite this disadvantage the Tigers only narrowly sele lost their first match against Dundee United 2-1, the tigers goal coming from on loan winger Idrees Ahmed. The Tigers ended their day with a very comfortable win against Strathclyde 8-1, goals coming from team captian James Doull 1x, Cameron Torrance 3x, Idrees Ahmed 4x.
